Buy The Book Or Get Counseling?

Can my book help you, or do you need counseling?  This is not a
simple question to answer.

It is a bit like an athlete who wants to get in condition, trying to
decide between running or lifting weights.  For maximum results,
the best choice is to do both.

First Read The Book
I always have my counseling clients read my book first.  That way I
don't have to spend as much valuable counseling time teaching.
Teaching is necessary, because I want people to understand the
process of healing, as well as to experience it.  This way they can
continue their healing after our sessions are over.

After all, Jesus is their counselor, and He is with them 24 hours a
day.

Counseling May Be Necessary
On the other hand, counseling is often necessary to help people
get over the major hurdles in their life.  Counselors can encourage
people, as well as help them to connect their problems with the
wounds that drive the problems.

Quickest Results
For those who are in a great deal of pain, and want quick relief, I
recommend an intensive week of counseling.  We accomplish as
much in one week as would take 6 months on a weekly basis.  In
this approach, you come to Post Falls, Idaho for a week, and we
do counseling 3 hours a day for 5 days.

My counseling fee for the 15 hours is $900, which is the same
whether I am seeing an individual or a couple.  I am a Licensed
Professional Counselor, so there may be insurance benefits
available, depending on your insurance plan.

Although you incur the expense for travel, lodging, and food, this
focused approach may actually be less expensive because of the
fast results.

If you live within driving distance of Denver, Colorado, we can also
arrange weekly sessions.  My fee is $60 per hour.

Other Counseling Options
You may be able to find a counselor in your area.

But be careful.  Not all counselors will help you.

And, just because a person is a "Christian counselor," this does
not mean that they rely on the blood of Jesus to bring about the
healing.  Sadly, most "Christian counselors" are actually secular
counselors who happen to be Christians.  By this I mean they rely
on secular methods of counseling, but tack on Christian "values."
In other words, they won't counsel you to do immoral things.  But
healing won't happen.

I suggest that you read my book before you see a local counselor.
Then, based upon what you have learned in the book about how
the Lord brings healing, you are in position to interview the
potential counselor to find out if their counseling style will work for
you.

There is also a growing network of prayer counselors around the
country.  I will be happy to refer you if I am aware of someone in
your ares.

My Book Is A Great First Step
In comparison to counseling, my book is cheap.  $21 for the book
is typically about the same as about 15 minutes of counseling.
The book comes with a money back guarantee, whereas
counseling never does.

And you can "test fly" the book for free on this website before you
buy.

Buying the book is a great first step in your quest to gain
peace.  It provides a foundation for the rest of the
process.
